Hanging out in Crescent City,CA for a couple days. Arcata isnt but a days ride from here and my bus home doesnt leave until the August 12th so Ive got some time to kill. There are several primitive campgrounds along the coast throughout the Redwoods so I plan on camping in them all as I slowly make my way to Arcata. Once there the mileage of this trek will be a little over 3200 miles. Ive seen many lightwieght bicycists on Hwy 101 (Pacific Coast Hwy). I call them lightwieght because they are only on 2 or 300 mile rides that only take a few days. I can proudly and honestly make the claim that I biked over the Bighorn, Rocky, and Cascade mountains. I wasnt expecting the coast to be so foggy and cold all the time but then again theres been a lot of things I hadnt expected during this trek.
